Oil slips as U.S. crude stock build stirs doubts on demand

#7  #2: I always find it "cute" when socialists/communists/"democrats" feign not to understand supply and demand curves. They feign ignorance when issuing economic decrees that fly in the face of classic economics, YET to a man they understand that releasing oil from the strategic reserve (an example of INCREASING SUPPLY) will most certainly have a short term impact of reducing price.

It SLAYS ME that we don't call them on their hypocrisy. If they KNOW that supply and demand curves work in a crisis, then they KNOW that supply and demand curves WORK!

#6  Jeez, Besoeker. You're talking about 'logic' and 'critical thinking' when it comes to economics.

The 'experts' can't fathom those concepts. The Wharton School doesn't teach it.

Middle Eastern GA.
We are paying between $2.58 & $2.89 a gallon here for 87 octane (90/10 blend) and $3.05to $3.45 a gallon for Ethanol Free. BP & SHELL being the higher prices

Given the lower prices, I recycled my small emergency, get out of dodge gas hoard last over the last 2 weeks.

#4  I never get tired of the daily magic 8 ball articles about oil on ZH. I also never fail to get a chub thinking of people holding $200 / bbl oil futures losing their shirts.

#3  Price of Oil varies irregularly in real time.

This week, Wti was about $71 on Monday am and as of now is about $77.

#2  Supply & Demand Economics:

Not to insult anyone's intelligence, but if supply increases and demand stays the same, prices will fall. If supply remains constant and demand decreases, prices will fall. If supply decreases and demand stays the same, prices will rise. If supply remains constant and demand increases, prices will rise.
