#11 NN2N1__ Heinlein had a concept in one of his books (Farnam's Freehold?) called "balancing" otherwise known as "a testicle for an eye". |

#10 Whoopee Brooks faces life in prison. Now the Victim families will pay for his room and board and upkeep for another 30+ years. Unless he slips and falls in the shower, breaking both legs, arms and skull. SO ELECTED OFFICIALS How about a new Sentencing Law, "DEATH IN KIND"? Where a Murderer is put down in the same way as they commit their murder(s)? |

#6 My wife watched this whole trial live on one of the streaming channels (she loves this kind of stuff, and she's actually not a weird person otherwise). She said that the judge should be awarded some sort of prize for her composure throughout, even as Mr. Brooks interrupted, went on rants and harassed her throughout the whole time he was present. The guy is a nutcase, or he's attempting to appear as one (probably the latter). Another person from the trial who should get an award is the bailiff guard who patiently sat behind Brooks during the whole thing and watched him, with a look of what appears like constant disgust, and not throttling him multiple times a day (or hour). If it was me, somewhere in the first 15 minutes the nightstick would have come out. |

#5 Now that I think of it, maybe that 'oooh he's scaring me' routine was for the jury? It's gotta have the effect of relaying to them, 'the learned judge up there already thinks he's evil incarnate'. |

#4 "Well you're both guilty! The judge has PTSD from sitting in the same room with you, ya freak!" |

#2 He who represents himself has a fool for a client. Especially if he's a fool to begin with. |

#1 That was fast. Don't jurors usually hold out for lunch? |
