No joy at Sheetz 'Stop & Rob' for Ebony Jones |
2022-10-23 |
Deputy C.C. Crossett responded to the call about the disturbance at the Sheetz store allegedly pulled off by a woman wearing a green shirt — and no pants, officials said. Sure enough, arriving deputies saw a woman matching that description sitting in her vehicle at a gas pump, officials said. The woman — later identified as 43-year-old Ebony Jones — was detained as Crossett spoke with one of the employees who said Jones tried to steal items worth more than $20. When store employees tried to stop Jones, however, she sprayed the contents of an aerosol can at them and then exited the store, officials said. |

#2 Proper actions are to let the robber have what they want. Let them go and then call police. Then lock the doors till the police arrive. Never attack or respond to attacker in combative manner. Should you respond you will face termination. Robber if ruffed up can sue employees and store chain. Hopefully store cameras are working and tape can be provided. If arrested court date is set. You are required to appear. Individual is subjected to arraignment and perhaps later locked up with 20 year sentence that is reduced to 15 years. You are notified of appeal sooner or later of discharge hearing. So perhaps five years later they are out. You will be notified of discharge and then worry of their return at their convenience. This was an armed robbery. |
