The SDF media center said in a statement that the arrested ISIS member was responsible for facilitating the movement of the organization’s sleeper cells and supplying them financially and logistically.
The SDF statement added that their forces, supported by the US-led Coalition, carried out the operation in the village of Hawi al-Hawa in Raqqa western countryside.
In the operation, the statement said, "Counterfeited documents and IDs were confiscated in addition to communication devices."
The SDF noted that it carried out large-scale operations against ISIS operatives in Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa and Hasakah Governorates, that resulted in detaining many members of the group and confiscating a lot of weapons and ammunition.
On October 2, the SDF announced that their Counter-terrorism Units had arrested an ISIS weapon supplier in a town east of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
