| Gas pipeline blown up near Dera Bugti |

| [Dawn] The main pipeline supplying gas to many areas of Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... was blown up by unidentified attackers near Dera Bugti on Saturday, officials said. According to Levies officials, gunnies planted an bomb under the pipeline supplying gas to Dera Bugti and other areas from the Loti gas field in the early hours of the day. The supply from the plant has been suspended after the attack. Officials said that work to repair the damaged pipeline would start after security clearance. An investigation has been launched into the attack. No organization has grabbed credit for the attack so far. |
