| UAE-backed separatists demand expulsion of Islah Party militias |

| [HODHODYEMENNEWS] The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Friday organized an angry protest, denouncing the continued presence of Islah snuffies in Hadramout ...the formerly independent Qu'aiti state and sultanate, annexed by Communist South Yemen in 1968, encompassing a region along the Gulf of Aden, extending eastwards to the borders of the Dhofar region of Oman. The people are called Hadhramis and speak Hadhrami Arabic. The city Tarimis is estimated to contain the highest concentration of descendants of the Prophet Muhammad (PTUI) anywhere in the world, approximately seven in every square yard... province, eastern Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... Hundreds of the STC’s supporters staged an angry demonstration in the Taris area of the city of Seiyun, during which they demanded the expulsion of the "First Military Region" snuffies from Wadi Hadhramaut. In the rally, the demonstrators rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud against the presence of Islah snuffies in the districts of the province, and called for the deployment of elements of the "Hadrami elite". In recent days, the districts of Wadi Hadramaut have witnessed many local demonstrations demanding the exit of the Islah snuffies from all the districts, amid accusations that their leaders support and finance terrorist elements. The UAE is seeking to impose its control over the oil plateau in eastern Yemen, through its militias, to uproot the Islah party, Yemeni branch of Moslem Brüderbund", from the southern provinces, amid demands from "STC" activists to designate it as a "terrorist group". |
