[Rudaw] The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Sunday that several rockets targeted one of its military bases in northeast Syria, without resulting in any damages.At least three rockets targeted the Green Village military installation, housing coalition forces in Deir ez-Zor province, on Sunday evening, according to a statement from CENTCOM, which described the offensive as having "failed to strike US or Coalition forces or equipment."
The statement said that the launch point of the rockets was identified approximately five kilometers away from the base, along with a fourth rocket and rocket tubes, adding that US forces in the area have initiated a probe into the attack.
The Green Village site is located in Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria, within areas controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), north of the Euphrates River. Regime forces operate across the river. Islamic State

There have been at least 19 rocket and drone attacks against sites housing American troops in Iraq and Syria this year, according to data compiled by Rudaw English. Such attacks are often attributed to Iran-backed militias and factions, but have never been claimed.
On August 25, CENTCOM announced the killing of four suspected Iran-backed turbans in northeast Syria, in response to an attack a day prior that targeted the US forces’ Mission Support Site Conoco and Mission Support Site Green Village.
