'Putin's revenge: Devastating missile strikes hit Ukraine's power grid as payback for military humiliation - as Russian troops are pushed back to the border in some regions
2022-09-12
  • Ukrainian forces have chased Russian troops back across the border in Kharkiv after stunning counter-attack

  • Soldiers filmed themselves at checkpoint, ripping down Russian flags and replacing them with Ukrainian ones

  • Echoes earlier scenes as rapid advance captured territory while Putin's men 'fled like Olympic sprinters'

  • Russia then stuck power stations and water supply across the region in what was dubbed a 'coward's revenge'

#3  Revenge, maybe. But shutting down the power grid also shuts down rail transportation and suddenly, there is no quick way to move all those troops and tanks from the north down to the south where the action is.

#1  Looks to me like Ukraine's left flank near Kharhiv is exposed if Russians have any reserves left to throw at it. I wouldn't get too cocky just yet.
