#10 when China will seek to "acquire some territory in Eastern Siberia. I was under the impression that Han have been quietly filtering in and settling for decades — plenty of villages with no native occupants left to notice the newcomers. |

#6 The practical thing to do would be to use that yuan to purchase the items from China for export to Russia that are useful. Or to invest it in Chinese factories to build hypersonic missiles, upgrade the Chinese fighters to Russian standards, procure Chinese laser weapon technology etc. If the trust level isn’t there at that level buy factories making “plastic dog poop” and export it all over the world with the contracts payable in Rubles. All that being said - the article explicitly states that a separate agreement is needed to convert yuan to rubles for repatriation. The Russians can simply negotiate that agreement, once they identify the Chinese price points |
