#1  Weird. Why does Putin care how Russians spend their money? Shouldn't he be trying to improve the lives of all Russians? Encouraging them all to work hard and do well?

Sounds like his attitude is indistinguishable from the Davos crowd -- it's good for him to live high, but the rest of us better know our place.
