Ukraine planning nuclear provocation on Friday — Moscow
2022-08-19
[RT] Ukraine plans to carry out artillery strikes on the Russia-controlled Zaporozhye nuclear power plant on Friday, and then accuse Moscow of causing a disaster at the site, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

The predicted attack will be timed to coincide with the ongoing visit to Ukraine by UN Secretary-General António Guterres
...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years...
, Moscow insisted.

An official said they had detected the movements of Ukrainian troops, indicating a looming "provocation."

Kiev has deployed units trained in responding to the use of weapons of mass destruction, pre-positioning them to report a radiation leak and demonstrate a purported action to mitigate it, Russian military front man Igor Konashenkov said.

The ministry said it expects a Ukrainian artillery unit to attack the plant on Friday from the city of Nikopol. "The blame for the consequences [of the strike] will be attributed to the Russian armed forces," the statement said.

#7  Or, in Russia's case, the trifecta. ;-)

#6  Paranoid and woke-baiting aside, that's "will" as in "the petty little bourgeois triumph of saving and transmitting what's valuable, generation to generation, within families, unmolested by pirate, potentate, or holy state."

#5  Croon, autocrats' creatures, your credo!
"Drink deep of fermented potato,
Ukrainian grain,
And inherited pain
From your failures of will... and blame NATO!"

#4  So while the Russians whine about Ukrainian forces setting up in abandoned schools and apartment buildings, they set up in a nuclear power plant and whine about it.

I would have expected more vodka out of Russia, but whines seems to be a major export.

#2  Russia has controlled the facility since March. They have a bunch of their gear stashed there. Something of a Regional HQ. To think Russia is shooting/shelling their own camp/base/equipment/troops is ukr fan fiction. And further, it is difficult to call something a false flag when Zelensky telegraphs UKR military plans and strategy to target Russian soldiers at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

“Every Russian soldier who... shoots using the plant as cover, must understand that he becomes a special target for our intelligence agents, for our special services, for our army.”

Transparent is debatable.

Spending a few days announcing "the other side" plans something makes a false flag operation rather transparent.
