| [HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] A big shot in the Southern revolutionary movement (al-Hirak al-Janubi), has been killed on Thursday by button men in Shabwah province, southeastern Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... Local sources said that unknown button men shot at the head of the media department of the Supreme Council of the Revolutionary Movement in Shabwah governorate, Humam Hadi bin Laksar, as he was leaving his home in the Rawdha area, abruptly ejecting him from the gene pool. It is not yet known who is responsible for the liquidation, but it comes in light of the escalation of differences between the southern factions, coinciding with the efforts of the UAE-backed Transitional Council (STC), to eliminate all its opponents, where it is strongly opposed by most of the southern components. Shabwah Governorate has been witnessing unprecedented tension after bloody battles between the coalition factions, amid fears that the direct fighting will move to the stage of mutual liquidation, similar to what happened in Aden, following the confrontations between the STC and Islah gunnies in early 2019, which ended with the expulsion of Islah from the city. |
