New Russian shipbuilding program
The current edition of the Russian shipbuilding program was approved in the spring of 2014, the military expert recalled. According to him, over the past eight years, there have been dramatic changes in the world: a sharp cooling in the relations between Russia and the West, a big number of sanctions imposed on Russia, NATO’s further expansion, the establishment of the AUKUS bloc in Southeast Asia, and, finally, the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine in February this year. The Russian shipbuilding program is classified, therefore, as Vladimir Karnozov writes in the Independent Military Review, it is possible to talk only about general modifications the program will be subject to.
"the establishment of the AUKUS bloc in Southeast Asia"? Throwing the entire collection of Rooshun whines/justifications for their asshole behavior in?
As Karnozov says, the first visible consequence of the cooling in the relations between Russia and the West for the Navy was the refusal of European companies to supply diesel engines and shipborne equipment under previously concluded contracts.

“In the current situation, domestic shipbuilders are to immediately and decisively reorient themselves to other suppliers. This reorientation has already been made and now “needs to be fixed in the new shipbuilding program.”Vladimir Karnozov, Russian military expert

#6  It's probably just upgrading the heads in their ships to have toilets instead of holes in the deck.

#5   These backwards ass people can't even get their only half floating carrier to work. Ukraine is effectively whipping that Russian ass and I for one am proud of them for it.

Putin knows he's going to die a sudden death via execution ordered by the FSB shortly after Ukraine's Army has totally destroyed the Russian Army in Crimea along with the Kerch Strait Bridge.

Be good for Russia if the people just revolted and overthrew this corrupt state apparatus that's been thieving from them since Putin took over. Including the FSB, just get rid of all the thieves and murderers at once.

#4  In the future, all their surface ships will have pressure hulls and caterpillar tracks. The submersibles will be dirigibles.

#2  Maybe design ships that can have proper damage control functions, reduced exposure of ordnance to secondary explosions, and not just for 'one salvo and done' missions? Maybe also remember that you need air superiority to go venturing about the water. The US Navy paid a price for the latter at Okinawa. Back then, they had the numbers to absorb the losses.
