Trump had the chance to kill al-Qaeda's leader but didn't because he didn't recognize the name, report says |

[MSN - your source for fabricated news]
But two people familiar with the briefings told NBC News that Trump chose not to pursue al-Zawahiri because he didn't recognize his name, and instead suggested targeting bin Laden's son, Hamza bin Laden. "He would say, 'I've never heard of any of these people. What about Hamza bin Laden?'" one unnamed former official told NBC News. A Pentagon official also told the news outlet: "That was the only name he knew." |

#12 I suspect we knew where Al-Zawahiri was located for quite some time. The time was opportune and a bit desperate. Why? 1. Because Biden is viewed as a weak or non-leader by many, here and abroad. This was a chance to try change that image. 2, Biden's and the Dem polls are bad prior to 2022 and 2024 elections, another chance to try to change that. |

#11 This article is cover for why the delay. I wager they have been sitting on Z quite a while. The events timing was clearly delayed to be used as media cover. I question why now, why B ‘s Covid flare up, why is P really in Taiwan. What’s going on in the other hand? |

#10 Zawahiri killed New Yorkers. There is zero chance Trump forgot about AQ’s 2nd in command. Isn’t it more likely that Trump would not know Qasem Soleimani, who he dutifully whacked based on the President’s Daily Briefing. Anyone who treats this story seriously should be discounted as a hack. |

#9 Its Bullcrap. Its this level of ass-slapping which has me wondering if something is up. Because refined, interesting presidents read their kill list over breakfast? And Brandon, he doesn't remember the name of, you know, the thing, but MSN would have you believe he had the name of the austere Egyptian surgeon on the forefront for these 20 years? Probably thinks he rode in with The Horse Soldiers after giving up his career as a transport trucker. |

#8 I'm with Darth -- wouldn't any briefing for the president include at least a summary of why they want to strike that particular person |

#7 Trump whacked plenty of guys. His chief failing seems to be that he should have whacked more folks cashing US Government checks. Totally. |

#6 Wait a minute, the Taliban was harboring Zarahiri. Maybe we should invade the place. |

#5 Billy Jeff Clinton had multiple chances to get bin Laden prior to 9/11. Where's the belated derision over that? |

#4 Trump whacked plenty of guys. His chief failing seems to be that he should have whacked more folks cashing US Government checks. The article is a Jussie Smollett level fantasy. Hopefully the “journalist” finished his BMT sub sandwich. |

#3 So either the intelligence services completely dropped the ball and didn't brief Trump, or the article is complete horse shit. |
