| [LB] The combat, numerical composition and nature of actions of the enemy group remain without significant changes. by Iryna Gamalii The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on establishing full control over the territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, maintaining the captured districts of Kherson and parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, and Mykolaiv regions. This was announced on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the 155th day of the heroic resistance of Ukrainians to the Russian military invasion. The enemy is trying to create favorable conditions for resuming the offensive in certain directions, as well as blocking Ukraine's maritime communications in the Black Sea. The enemy continues to carry out air and missile strikes, in particular from the territory of the Republic of Belarus. On the Volyn and Poliske directions , the engineering equipment of the positions of units that arrived for rotation is fixed. In order to clarify the positions of our troops, expose the air defense system and control the camouflage of their units, the conduct of aerial reconnaissance by UAVs is noted. According to available information, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is intensifying counter-intelligence measures in the areas bordering Ukraine in the Siver region. The enemy carried out artillery fire near Mykolaivka in the Chernihiv region and Tovstodubovo and Ryasny in the Sumy region. In the Kharkiv direction , artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of Kharkiv, Dementiivka, Mospanove, Sosnivka, Udy, Cherkassy Tyshki, Stary Saltiv, Tsirkuny, Protopivka, Zolochiv, Ruski Tyshki, Petrivka, Pryshyb, Prudyanka and Kalinovka settlements. The enemy launched an airstrike near Rusky Tyshki. In order to clarify the position of our troops and adjust the fire, the BpLA conducted aerial reconnaissance. In the Slavyansk direction , with the aim of finding weak points in the defense of our units, the occupiers conducted assaults in the Dovgenke - Mazanivka and Pasika - Dolyna directions, without success. Artillery shelling was observed in the areas of Andriivka, Nortsivka, Bogorodichne, Chepil, Velyka Komyshuvaha, Petrivske and Husarivka settlements. The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Kramatorsk direction . He shelled the districts of Zakitny, Verkhnyokamyansky and Tetyanivka with artillery. Made an airstrike near Serebryanka. On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical position, but our soldiers repelled the assaults on the Klynove - Bakhmut and Myronivskyi - Semihirya directions and forced the invaders to retreat. The enemy has partial success in the direction of Vidrodzhennya - Vershina, and is entrenched southeast of the settlement of Vershina. The attempt to advance in the directions Volodymyrivka – Soledar and Streapivka – Soledar ended in failure for the occupiers. The enemy carried out artillery shelling in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka, Mykolaivka, Nova Kamianka, Vesela Dolyna, Kodema, Semihirya and New York. Airstrikes near Yakovlivka, Pokrovsky and Soledar. The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Avdiyiv, Novopavliv, and Zaporizhzhya directions . In order to strengthen the grouping of troops in the Zaporizhzhia direction, additional units are being transferred. Artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Vremivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novokalynove, Opytne, Stepnohirsk, Biloghirya, Volodymyrivka, Velyka Novosilka, Mykilske, Malynivka and Pervomaiske. The occupiers used aviation near Avdiyivka, Maryinka, Pavlivka, Kamiansky and Maly Shcherbaki. In the South Buz direction , the enemy is concentrating its efforts on holding the occupied lines and returning lost positions in the Kryvorizka direction. In the waters of the Black Sea, outside the base points, there are three carriers of sea-based cruise missiles of the "Kalibr" type. In order to constrain our actions, the enemy is shelling the areas of Trudolyubivka, Potemkyny, Posad-Pokrovsky, Andriyivka, Blagodatny, Ternivka, Chervonaya Dolyna, Prybuzky, and Luparevo from barrel artillery, rocket salvo systems, and tanks. Made an airstrike near Novopetrivka. Ukrainian soldiers repulsed the assault in the direction of Bruskinske - Biloghirka. The occupiers suffered losses and withdrew. It will be recalled that the German government approved the sale of 100 Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery howitzers to Ukraine. | #10 Russians fail several assaults... Expect to see that headline often in the coming days. The Ukrainians are fighting from well prepared positions - fortifications, trenches and tunnels - created for the last war. The Russians could do a human wave assault which would thrill the media but would incur insane casualties. Instead, the Russian tactical playbook looks like this: 1) Advance to fix the enemy in place 2) Use artillery to reduce the enemy and cut supply lines. Lots of artillery. Small probing attacks take the temperature and continually harass the enemy. See "Russians fail several assaults" headlines 3) More artillery. Without supply, the enemy either withdraws or is overrun when one of those "failed attacks" suddenly works. 4) Wash, rinse, repeat. tl;dr: The Russians advance like bankruptcy - slowly at first, then all at once. |

The only sane approach is question everything. Being a gleaner, I simply gather information. Many simply ignore. I present ideas and ponder. This site allows a balanced exchange. | #4 Dunno about your sources Dale, but the impression I get is that Russians are not able to seize any more territory and Ukrainians are not able to push the Russians back. IOW, although the death and destruction continues, this war has degenerated into a stalemate and it's about damn time to stop it. Too bad we have no one on the international stage of sufficient stature to grab both sides by the nape of the neck, bash their heads together and insist on some serious negotiations. Such a person would certainly be in line for a Nobel Peace Prize, kinda like Jimmy Carter who managed to broker peace between Israel and Egypt. Too bad Brandon is more of a belligerent himself. He doesn't even measure up to jimmuh. |

Sky news has been good but today I will review India news programing for balance. Most people I have talked to just don't bother to watch or listen to news these days. The Swamp Biden programing I suspect. |

| #1 Russians are well organized. They refresh troops daily. August should clearly demonstrate how massive the Russian efforts are. Ukrainians are losing large numbers of solders daily. Tired and worn no fresh faces here to oppose. Volodymyr dandy and wife play to the various media. We will see then in endless reruns of Western medias. |
