Biden Threatens Oil Companies' Permits
2022-07-28
[TOWNHALL] President Biden warned oil companies last week that if they don’t do more to help address rising prices, he will revoke their drilling permits on federal lands.

While touting that gas prices have fallen to below $4 at 30,000 gas stations across 35 states, he said more needs to be done.

"First, we’re going to look at ways to increase oil production from the existing wells and permits that exist today," he said. "The industry has more approved permits for production on federal lands than they can possibly use. That’s a fact. Let me say it again: They have more than they can use.

"So my message to these companies is: Use the permits or lose them. Don’t say we can’t — you don’t have access," he added.

#3  Still don't quite understand how Joe can do all this unilaterally, without any action by Congress.

King George III is green with envy.

#2  Wasn't he a Senator of the party that banned drilling in Alaska (ANWR) because "...You can't drill your way out of the 'Oil Shortage'?" Consistency and Biden live on different planets.

#1  ...he will revoke their drilling permits on federal lands.

A classic example of political bullshit. If they supposedly have those 'approved permits for production on federal land', then what explains the domestic shortage? Are they in fact extracting oil from said fields? 'Approved permits' but Uncle Joe won't let you extract oil? What / which is it?

I think I could explain things better by talking outta my ass, which is the Biden approach.
