| #1 The Greens are an outgrowth of the late 60's environmental movement, after Love Canal and the burning river near Cleveland. It has continued to grow, as regulations are wont to do, and has been fed by media -- who has people who don't remember the 60's -- thinking the US environment is dirtier than ever before. SCOTUS stopping the EPA from regulating CO2 (starving plants, anyone?) is a hopeful step, but just a minor bump in the road to the Greenists. |
