| Government security member killed east of Syria’s Daraa |

| [NPASyria] On Wednesday, a soldier of the Syrian government forces was rubbed out by unidentified gunnies in the eastern countryside of Daraa, a governorate south Syria. An eyewitness told North Press Agency that Mahmoud Hussein al-Habisi, a member of the military security Branch of the government forces, was rubbed out by unidentified attackers in the center of the town of Mhajjah east of Daraa. Al-Habisi, who returned from Jordan to Syria in July 2018, joined ranks of a military group of the Military Security Branch after he obtained a settlement card in 2018 and he never joined any opposition ranks after that. In September 2021, dignitaries of Daraa governorate and Syrian government reached a ceasefire agreement under Russia’s mediation which included handing over weapons of the local factions, and deploying government’s security posts in the towns of the governorate. Daraa governorate continues to witness ongoing killing operations without knowing the party behind them, as no party has grabbed credit for these attacks. |
