Gas guzzler! Shameless Mercedes driver is caught SWAPPING nozzles at California pump so unsuspecting driver parked opposite ends up paying for HIS fuel

  • Surveillance footage from an AMPM gas station in Roseville caught the moment

  • The amount that the unsuspected driver ended up paying for remains unclear

  • The suspect, who was wearing a black windbreaker, remains unidentified

  • He switched out nozzles and walked in between pumps with no other cars around him before the unsuspected driver's arrival

  • He then goes back to his black Mercedes and observes the other driver filling up his car with the wrong nozzle, while pretending to be filling up his own car

  • Similar tacks to steal gas across the country have been reported due to a spike in prices

  • The average price of gas is staying above $4 in all 50 states - and in California, the price exceeds $6 a gallon, while in New York, the price is almost $5
