How ISIS obtains weapons and equipment
2022-07-11
[Shafaq News] Security sources in Diyala revealed today, Sunday, the sources from which ISIS forces of Evil obtain advanced sniper weapons, rockets, and Katyusha launchpads.

The commander of the 144th Peshmerga Brigade of the second axis, Brigadier-General Jamal Warani, told Shafaq News agency that ISIS forces of Evil tend nowadays to kidnap civilians and ask for a ransom from the victims' families, to buy weapons and equipment in the areas between Tuz Khurmatu, east of Saladin to the outskirts of Kifri and the Kurdistan Region.

He added that the Peshmerga forces' military operations are ongoing to clear those areas and prevent the forces of Evil from smuggling rockets and weapons, or carrying out terrorist attacks.

For his part, a source in al-Hashd al-Shaabi (PMF) who works on the outskirts Hamrin, Diyala, told Shafaq News agency that undercover smugglers are providing rockets and weapons for the forces of Evil hiding in caves and tunnels located between Diyala and Saladin, the outskirts of Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
through a way that is almost security-points-free.

The source indicated that ISIS has recruited farmers and shepherds, whether by paying or threatening them, to facilitate the smuggling process.
