NY Bodego worker neutralizes robber with classic commando knife plunge to neck |
2022-07-07 |
Video shows the employee - 51-year-old Jose Alba - sitting behind a counter at the Hamilton Heights grocery store, tending to customers on Friday night. A man then pushed Alba into a shelf and appears to confront him, before yelling at another customer trying to purchase something. He pulls Alba up out of the chair, at which point Alba reaches to the right toward shelves displaying an assortment of candy, and pulls out a large knife, which he allegedly plunges into the man's neck and chest at least five times. |

#19 Girl friend stabbed him but not arrested and no charges. The criminals do run New York City. |

#18 Ref #13: Accurate, and to the point. Heh, 'to the point'. I thought the name Fairbairn was familiar, as in the Sykes-Fairbairn pattern knife. The gentlemen himself seems to have been quite the bad-ass, a one-man RAB if you will. |

#15 The problem is that the New York City political climate currently is strongly against self-defense in any and all forms. Saw a rumor Jose will be charged with murder, $250k bail. I was left wondering what Mr. Alba did before slinging newspapers. |

#11 Is there going to be a call for "knife control" and a spate of legislation by the politicians? What #6 said and others. |

#10 Unless you have a 'political' DA it seems pretty clear cut. 'Moment of panic' while being cornered. |

#9 You can find the video on Vidmax. Looks like Jose got the thug in the carotid artery. |

#8 If you come across the video, take a moment, dude half his age has him trapped in a corner, throws him into a shelf where he bangs his head, and continues to have "customer" assault him. DM makes it out like they were having an unpleasant discussion about record profit margins when Jose dirks him in the neck. |

#5 A man then pushed Alba into a shelf and appears to confront him, before yelling at another customer trying to purchase something. Dear Daily Mail, At this point, this person is no longer a customer. |

#4 Alba was also charged with murder for defending himself. |

#3 People get all freaked out about guns and fail to understand that you can still die from a flint tipped spear or sharpened stick as much as you can from a gun. |
