  • Chicago Police released bodycam and surveillance video of a violent shootout between officers and Jerome Halsey, 27, from June 5

  • The video shows Halsey ignoring officer's orders to remain in his car as he jumps out with a handgun and shots ring out between him and the three officers

  • Officer Erik Moreno is struck in the hand and torso, while a fellow officer manages to shoot Halsey once, and the man falls to the ground

  • Police said the had their weapons drawn due to Halsey's erratic driving when the stopped him, and shot him after he fired at them

  • Halsey has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and assault

#2  Now the taxpayers will cover the 20 -30 years of prison costs for this POS. When a properly placed 9mm or 40cal round was justified and a lot cheaper.
