#9 None of the stories I've read give the quid pro quo. Inquiring minds want to know.... |

#8 Okay, #2. What is the difference between Turkey and Russia? Invades neighbors? Check. Imperial nostalgia and Expansionist? Check. Murders dissidents? Check. Erdogan vs. Putin for the 'most Fascist'? Check. What is the reason Turkey is still in NATO again? Other than controlling the Bosporus... |

#7 The same Turkey that shot down a Russian civilian aircraft? Turkey is f'ed up economically. I have to wonder if some deal was cut to help the old boy Erdogan out. I'm getting a bit tired of Turkey's shit, too. We needed them in the Cold War. I don't think we need them any longer. Maybe they don't need us, either. |

#6 RE#2 Guess you're pretty fucking dumb, because Turkey is always willing to be so cooperative right? |

#4 Yep, someone hitting the vodka early. That would be the same Turkey that denied access to the 4th Infantry Division to transit to Iraq in the UN Security Council sanction military operation. |

#3 ...I would love to know The Real Deal(TM), but the sound of Volodya's head exploding will be quite sufficient. Mike |

#2 Seriously? How dumb are people? Turkey is in NATO for a darned good reason. It allows an excellent jumping-off point for an invasion of Russia. It allows two avenues of attack - one the traditional route the West has followed since the days of the Teutonic Knights, and the other up the Caucasus. This was one of the big mistakes the Nazis made, failing to ally with Turkey and going with a single axis of attack. We won't make the same mistake. We will also bring winter coats this time. |

#1 Bout time Turkey is told to go fuck itself. As soon as they bought the S-300s they should have been put out to pasture. |
