World leaders agree to new 'surge' of support to defeat Vladimir Putin – as Downing Street says Kremlin was 'stupid' to bomb Kyiv while G7 met as it 'stiffened the resolve' to remain united just when Macron was wavering
2022-06-27
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Boris Johnson warned 'backing down' on Russia would be 'mistake' at G7 as Putin's missiles' 'stupidly' hit Kyiv

  • Emmanuel Macron was 'wavering' but committed to Ukraine as leaders became more united against Russia

  • Downing Street said there is a risk 'enduring instability' could be created if Putin was not curtailed now

  • G7 leaders also joked about the Russian president's fondness of being photographed without a shirt on

  • PM and Germany's Olaf Scholz will argue for biofuel crops swap for food to prevent starvation, which US and Canada will block

#20  Remember , US soldiers hands are tied with ROE that are moronic with lawyers hovering like buzzards waiting to pounce. Not so much with the Russians.

#18  The Europeans are now rationing fuel -- the Germans are experiencing a run on FIREWOOD, for fucks sake

I’m afraid they worked hard to get to this point, and hopefully now will work as hard to get past it. They were warned, over and over again, that depending on Russia would have exactly this result when Russia wanted to make a point about something, and so it has come to pass.

They can get all the firewood they need in their extensive forests, and probably get a good start just cutting down the trees killed by whatever insect infestation has been causing problems for decades.

#17  If they keep poking the bear, we're liable to wake up one morning with a devastating Polish object lesson. I'm pretty sure Vlad really doesn't give a fok at this stage in his life.

#14  So she's proposing to subsidize cut rate oil purchases ... by CHINA? At our expense?

Hey you moronic little cunt: they're already buying at at 30% discount!

#12  NYTimes: The effort to put a price cap on Russia oil is the brainchild of Janet L. Yellen, President Biden’s Treasury secretary. The details are likely weeks or more away from being finalized, requiring intense negotiations by G7 finance ministers, private companies and leaders of countries in Latin America, Africa and elsewhere that buy Russian oil.

And there is no guarantee that the plan will come together quickly, or at all, or that it will succeed as the G7 leaders hope.

There is also a potential political downside in Europe and possibly the United States: To succeed, the plan will need to give China, India and other countries that have not joined the G7 in opposing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine the ability to buy oil at a much lower price than America or much of Europe can.

🤡

These people are.fucking.INSANE.

Have they ever worked in an actual market environment for even one day in their entire lives?

Do they know anything about the global oil trade?

How did we get saddled with such unbelievable shitheads?

#11  ^ They actually believe they run the world. It's mean to point out they don't.

#10  Hoo boy. Send in the clowns.

Biden's Freakshow's latest: Chief Economic Clown Janet Yellen's bug idea is for some kind of GLOBAL PRICE-CONTROLS ON OIL -- details to come later, natch -- as a way to punish Russia.

For real. She's that fucking stupid. A global cap on the oil price.

#6  It took the US the better part of a DECADE to just get a lid on Iraq -- a much smaller and weaker third world nonentity that the US bombed into oblivion before sending an invasion force that was roughly four times larger than Russia's.

Both sides say the war started in 2014 with the invasion of Crimea. So the clock is still ticking big boy.

#5  the US can't hoe toatch Russian missile and munitions production.

That's what I always thought. If you can't hoe toatch em, negotiate, right comrade?

#4  And you expect this to be over in a few months, when instead of random jihadis with no air or artillery support Russia's facing NATO?

I wasn't expressing my expectations. Just pointing out for all the claims of a military catastrophe, they can't seem to find a way to seal the deal.

Ya'll are the ones telling us...

#3  seal the deal

In only four months? Against a NATO adversary that's the beneficiary of the biggest military spend in Europe?

#2  What's left of that country is completely, totally wrecked. Soldiers are mutinying. Recriminations within the elite are spreading. Zelensky's rivals are openly asking why this idiot insists on reinforcing hopelessly surrounded units in the Kessen's of the East, only to be slaughtered.

And yet, the Russians can't seem to seal the deal.

#1  Seven dwarves. Such bravado in the face of a complete rout.
These idiots have now painted themselves in a corner.

Vershinin demonstrated that the US can't hoe toatch Russian missile and munitions production. The Europeans are now rationing fuel -- the Germans are experiencing a run on FIREWOOD, for fucks sake -- and the Ukrainians are grinding themselves into oblivion.

It is an utter shitshow. The Ukrainians now are suffering losses of over 70%. They're literally suiting up grandpas and children and sending them into the meat grinder in Donbas.
