The incident took place in the kindergarten "Erudite", Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Irbek Tomaev said.
"Pupils of a preschool educational institution were hospitalized in the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital with an acute intestinal infection. The victims received the necessary assistance," the 15th region quoted Tomaev as saying today.
An epidemiological survey is being carried out at the preschool institution, the chief health officer of North Ossetia Alan Tibilov said.
"A rotavirus of group A was found in the pupils of the kindergarten. Biological material is in the process. Control disinfection of the institution will be carried out today. Until May 26, the activity of the kindergarten is suspended," Tibilov was quoted as saying by the Osnova information website.
The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that on June 23, 2021, the kindergarten in Alagir was closed for quarantine after five of its pupils were hospitalized with signs of an intestinal infection.
