#15  The story in question makes it sound like the Biden Admin are Cargo cultists. They do things for show hoping they'll get the same effect as really doing them. Just as they opened up Oil Drilling leases and got all the good press, then cancelled them before they could actually make any difference.

#14  Everything that has caused the price of oil to go up has been done in the name of Fighting Big Oil.

#13  A particularly snarky thread. Excellent.

#12  ^ A common cause of unmanned spacecraft loss has been stuff programmed in one measurement system coming into conflict with calculations assuming the other one.

#11  There are two kinds of countries in the world, those that have landed men on the Moon, and those that use the metric system.

#10  Why Doesn’t the U.S. Use the Metric System?

Because "different from what we do here" is not a compelling argument.

For anything.

#9  You think Kilometers per Liter would do it?

Why Doesn’t the U.S. Use the Metric System?

#8  What I would expect from Washington DC is to make the length of a mile shorter so that all vehicles would automatically get higher MPG.

#3  Gas stations in Washington reprogram pumps to prepare for $10-a-gallon fuel as Bidenflation sends average price soaring to $4.57 - almost twice the $2.41 during Trump's final month

#2  With the improvement of the economy as the covid restrictions were lifted came an increase in demand; this happened under Biden, though not because of Biden. With the various changes in permitting and leasing etc. - and even just the threat of changes - came a decrease in supply; this WAS due to the Biden administration. With the artificial increase in money supply came inflation, and the resulting increase in the apparent price of oil; this was due to both Trump and Biden actions. The combination is responsible for the oil price increase.

Sure is a DC sweet heart deal with Big Oil and maybe certain DC Swampers.

Now the Taxpayers have to repurchase 700+ Million Barrels of oil to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

Bidens $107 (today) a barrel
vs.
Trumps $21 (April 2020 ) a barrel.

Math 107-21= $86 more per barrel

$700M x $86 = $6.02 Billion more.
I am sure Big Oil will reward the DC Swamp with $$$$ is some form or another.

Even Hunter did not bathe in this much $$$$$$.
