#10  For average babies, the production of a life-sustaining DIY formula substituting for breast milk is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. One might think institutions like the FDA and CDC might think it useful to publicize recipes. Naturally they have a different agenda, one that excludes public service.

#6  US flagged merchant ships/whalers abruptly dropped starting in 1862 when they registered as British and started flying the Union Jack due to Southern commerce raiders. The old rules of 'prize' still applied back then.

#5  Case study about the long term consequences of all those factors:

"The portion of our Nation's international trade carried on U.S.-flag ships, however, has declined from a high of 92.5 percent in 1826 to 57.6 percent 1947 to a low of less than 2 percent today. In fact, today there are no U.S.-flag carriers listed among the top 20 global carriers."

As I read on another blog.
When a Nation has to import basic supplies it is at the mercy of those nations supplying them.
-------------------------------------------------
My additional take on why soon many US suppliers have decided to relocate many basic supply product manufacturing to other countries?

Over regulation,

Politically protected Union absurdity & wages.

City, County, State and a dozen State and Federal other taxes and mandated benefits.

Constantly changing political control of the economy and businesses operations.

Too many lawyers living off the stupidity of idiots

Eventually many will wonder, why all the shortages now that the Pandemic is ending and not during the pandemic?

Were we living off warehouse stockpiles?

#1  Blue State population declines must be met with illegal migrant backfills. School unions and Congressional districts will suffer severe financial and phony- baloney job losses if healthy, young replacement people and infants are not found.

Stop yer bitc*ing & moaning. Hazlo por las niñas (Do it for the children).
