| #8 Pardon, I am a bit confused as how Duterte fits into this, as DM seems fascinated on other things. I will say about the masks, I do love the photos of masked people with captions like "beaming". It reminds me of a photo of like three gals in burkas standing in front of a famous landmark, "Really enjoying ourselves." or "Enjoying bowl of spaghetti." as it is slurped under the hood. |

| #5 The PI people are very sentimental. They are incredibly forgiving in nature. While we like to mock Imelda for her shoes, the people loved her. Her 3,000 shoes would not have fed many people for very long. The poverty issues are a lot more complicated than that. While, from the outside, this looks a lot like the Marcos dictatorship taking hold again, I would wait and see. The last president was a nut job authorizing the police killing of undesirables. Before that was and actor that lived for corruption and then there was GMA who sold the Philippines to China. We will see. And for the love of God the Philippinos need to rethink how they name their kids. Most common names for girls is Apple, baby, honey, or Cherry. Bing, ping, and bong are common names for men. Its a bit insane. |
