[REGNUM] Cossacks of the Terek Cossack Army will take part in the Victory Parade on Red Square for the first time. Together with them, the Cossacks of the Kuban Cossack Army will march on May 9. This was reported to IA REGNUM by the press service of the All-Russian Cossack Society.
On Victory Day, 105 Kuban and the same number of Terek Cossacks will walk along the cobblestones of Red Square, representing the Russian Cossacks. The ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society Nikolai Doluda will lead the procession of the Cossacks .
"Two months of training at the Alabino training ground were not in vain. At the dress rehearsal, the Cossack ceremonial calculations demonstrated combat coherence and a sense of shoulder. For the Cossack brotherhood, this is a genetic feeling. It is acquired not only by sports training, but also by the unity of spirit," said the Cossack general.
The Cossacks will march in memory of the Cossack heroes of the Great Patriotic War, as well as in honor of compatriots participating in Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
Recall that the triumph of the Cossack Guards was the Victory Parade in Moscow on June 24, 1945. For courage and heroism shown in the fight against the Nazi invaders, about 100,000 Cossack cavalrymen were awarded orders and medals.
