| Two armed groups affiliated with Syrian Security Services exchanged detaining members in Suwayda |

Two groups affiliated with the Syrian security services in Suwayda detained on Saturday 33 citizens at their checkpoints on the pretext of stealing a car, amid a state of tension in the area. An armed group affiliated with the Syrian Military Intelligence, led by the so-called Raji Falhout detained 26 citizens of Suwayda’s Bedouin tribes with their cars, local sources told North Press. According to the sources, the detention came to pressure the tribes of Suwayda to return a car stolen by Bedouin young men living in the west of the governorate. Falhout leads an armed group affiliated with the Syrian Military Intelligence, and he is accused by residents of kidnapping, theft and murder cases. Meanwhile, and in response to al-Falhout’s detention of Bedouins, another group, from the Bedouin tribes, affiliated with the Military Security, blocked the road leading to the Dahr al-Jabal area, east of Suwayda. The young men set up a checkpoint in al-Maqous neighborhood and prevented cars from passing. The also detained seven citizens of Suwayda while returning from their farms in the Dahr al-Jabal area, civilians told North Press. Social and civil activities, in cooperation with media platforms, are working to resolve the problem in an attempt to prevent the strife being stirred by the security services in the governorate.
