Russian military claims US, NATO involved in invasion planning |
2022-03-09 |
A video narrated by Russian ministry of defense spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov, charges the US and NATO with the planning to invade the two Russian speaking breakaway republics, Donetsk and Lugansk. The Facebook video announcement has a link to a Yandex.ru document center where the five page order is displayed. ![]() NATO and the US military have been training Ukrainian forces since 2014, but this document dump purports to show US involvement with the planning of an invasion of Lugansk and Donetsk in January, 2022. Russia's "special military operation" carried with it a purpose of preventing a Ukrainian invasion of the two breakaway republics. The document, if authentic, shows a clear cause for war. Both republics were recently recognized by the Russian Federation as sovereign countries, and both republics' troops are heavily involved in clearing their respective territories of Ukrainian regulars. Most recent reports by both sides indicate Lugansk and Donetsk troops are having a difficult time in achieving their objectives, even with heavy Russian fire support. |

#16 Here you go, Baldassarre: a reminder of how it worked last time: How Russian 'safe corridors' worked in bitter Syria war |

#15 Typical Russian humanitarianism: Marioupol: Russia had promised to open a humanitarian corridor to let Mariupol’s besieged residents flee but the plan fell apart after Ukraine’s government accused Russian forces of shelling it. |

#14 The Russian High Command have offered humanitarian corridors and promised safety and good treatment to all Ukrainian POWs (Nazis are excluded, as are foreign mercenaries, they will be interrogated and shot). This is why The world respect Russia, no American faggotry human rights homosexual transgenders….politics. Straight rational business. |

#12 The sky is sky-blue, which is different than blue-blue - at least in Russian. I have no idea why they have two separate words. "We have two words, because our sky-blue is outside. Yours is the paint on your survival bunker" |

#10 ^ You can't fool me. Skies will always be blue, thanks to sunlight reflecting off all that blue water! |

#9 ...Right now, if any site with a .ru suffix was to tell me the sky is blue At night in the appropriate non-urban locations its usually black. Sunlight and our atmosphere make it appear blue. Throw in a volcano eruption here, a volcano eruption there and enough matter in the atmosphere and it won't be that blue at all. |

#8 That said, I think the fantasy that there was going to be a solution to Donetsk and Lugansk in Ukraine's favor was a major weapon of Putin's. It's why so many of Ukraine's forces were in a bad position to deal with the invasion. And that the Rasputina in Ukraine may be cutting both ways. (Not to mention the Rasputina in Washington.... ) |

#7 Just looking at the headline makes me want to say "So maybe that's why the invasion isn't going well, the US and NATO helped plan it...." but I'm a cynic. |

#6 Scoff all you want, but the Russians are controlling the narrative now. Bezos and Sulzberger are Russians? News to me |

#5 The critical element is not whether you think it's true. It s whether the Russians believe it's true and how they will react to it. Scoff all you want, but the Russians are controlling the narrative now. |

#4 ...Right now, if any site with a .ru suffix was to tell me the sky is blue, I'd take a trusted team outside with me to check. Mike |

#3 What has always worried me is that very bumbling elite has a strategic politico/economic network which is strategic for them, as The Bee so easily pointed out the scramble to save Hunter Biden's priceless artwork. I would like to point out that every nation able to field a mechanized army has been gaming those areas since before 1940. |

#2 Weird how the trolls aren't here to spit on obvious Russian propaganda. |

#1 Why? Those areas are a meat grinder and with zero strategic value for the US. I'm not above believing that our bumbling "elite" won't stumble their way into WWIII though. |
