Record Breaking Gasoline Prices | |
2022-03-09 | |
[CNBC] The average gas price in the U.S. surged to over $4 per gallon this week, as the invasion of Ukraine led to a new all-time high for the cost of gas. These prices are expected to remain elevated, possibly all summer... Regular-grade gas prices reached $4.173 on Tuesday; a 55.4 cent increase from a week ago... The cost of gas jumped by more than $1 per gallon in 2021, on average CNBC doesn't even hint that these gas prices could be a problem for the US (and world) economy. Maybe they want to wish it away. Or maybe the author wasn't allowed to go there.

#20 Murphy Gas in SC is selling for 4.02 for regular up about 15 cents since last week. The attendant said they were running low already after a tanker fill-up them up last night. So the wife and I decided to store 50 Gals of Non-Ethanol which costs a bit more @ $4.30 a gallon. We have done this before, during the run-up to the Hurricane Katrina GAS shortages. We found it lasted 5 months that time without issue. We later learned a good Stabilizer would push the useable life out to a year plus. BTW: Wally World seems to have anticipated the need for Gas Cans and is charging $21 for a 5 gal plastic jug that sold for something like $14.95 a few months ago. So for just over $215 for the gas plus the 3x 5 gals cans we were short in having 10 ($66+). Plus multiple trips to the gas stations. All told we spent almost $300 to play LMOE. |

#17 All at once Buttgig and The Influencers are all Go Get an Electric Car. So weird. "We need to burn down The House of Saud because one of our, uhem, reporters ended up dead. Tear. It. Down! Also, pretty please increase your oil production so we continue to get political support thanx." |

#11 Radio hype said it is those mean 'ol other countries not even answering Uncle Joey's phone calls. It is a bit interesting - taking a bouncy house level peaceful protest, throwing it in the grinder, and ending up with the largest economic warhammer history, doing the cock walk to get what they want, you'd think countries and organizations would just fall in line, yet there are more than a few instances of nah, not interested. Makes me wonder how cheap the veneer is. |

#9 Why does the President get to determine the amount of drilling done by private companies? If its on public land. Unlike east of the Mississippi, most of the large states west of the river were never given a lot of the land from the national government holdings. |

#8 Why does the President get to determine the amount of drilling done by private companies? When will congress step in and reverse this action as every seat in the House is on the ballot with this gas price attached. |

#7 Sundance gets it. The Ukraine Shitshow is just another elite botch job aimed at asserting control. The economic consequences from climate change policy were always considered the biggest hurdle. The pain that would be felt by the working class folks, would need to be managed. This is the reason why false justifications for economic pain are collectively pushed by media. As a result, the domestic political elites are managing the pitchforks by distracting voters about the cause. If you do not buy into their obtuse justifications, well, you then become a target – ergo, a conspiracy theorist. Climate change policy is a tool, a means to an end. COVID-19 policy is a tool, a means to an end. Russia-Ukraine policy becomes a tool, a means to an end. Behind all the layers of obfuscation, you find all the individual roadmaps converge onto a single path that leads to centralized control. |

#2 So, if we allow Texas to succeed from the union (again), we can then buy their oil without any limitations to their drilling because then it would be foreign oil? Texas Dems to Biden: Drill, baby, drill In the post Civil War ear when the Donks got ahold of Congress they refused to fund the Army. Well, till the Apache went on a rampage from Mexico into Texas. Seems the Texas Democrats adhered to the concept of 'all politics is local' and the Army got funding. |

#1 As planned. The poorer we are, the easier we are to control. |
