QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the US-led Global Coalition forces to Defeat ISIS stressed their continued support for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northeastern Syria, which continue to defend the region. “We remain committed to support our SDF partners as they continue to defend NE Syria,” Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTFOIR) posted on its Facebook. “SDF are working towards maintaining stability, protecting the people of NE Syria, and acting to provide a feeling of security and safety,” the CJTFOIR added. The Global Coalition forces proved their close partnership with the SDF through the direct intervention in the air and on the ground during the ISIS attacks and jailbreak on al-Sina’a prison in Hasakah, northeast Syria. The SDF, with the support of the Coalition, managed to regain control over the prison on January 25. Meanwhile, the Global Coalition forces brought huge military reinforcements to their bases in northeastern Syria, including Bradley Fighting Vehicles. |
