#3 I read that Putin really needs Belorus, Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan (BURK) to recreate the power of the Soviet Union. He probably figured he had Belorus and Kazakhstan halfway conquered already as the leadership of both are in his pocket. I suspect the leader of Kazakstan read the tea leaves when Putin invaded Russia and wanted no part of being a puppet state, even more so than he is. |
