Bit late now! Obama's Director of National Intelligence James Clapper says 'I wish we were more aggressive with Russia in 2014 when they annexed Crimean Peninsula'
2022-02-24
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Former Obama administration DNI James Clapper said he 'wished we were more aggressive with Russia in 2014'

  • Suggested Russia has become 'more emboldened than it was eight years ago' when he invaded Crimea

  • President Biden's assistant defense pick also blasted Obama White House for being 'too slow and incremental'

  • President Biden has slapped sanctions on Russian banks and some officials

  • He claimed sanctions went 'far beyond' previous administration

  • GOP leaders however claimed curbs were 'appeasement' and that 'tough talk' on Putin wasn't being followed through

#11  How could Mr. Clapper be more aggressive when President Obama was working on being more flexible with Russia?

#10  Clapper should read some history books instead of engineering illegal coups. Crimea has been Russian ever since Catherine the Great ran the Tatars out of it.

#8  Trying to remember what was going on then.....

Oh yeah, laundering Uranium for Iran through Russia.

Annnddd...the Bidens were establishing dodgy banking practices to the point that Joe had to bribe Ukrainian officials to 86 the investigations. And sonofabitch, they did!

So Hillary! took the leg to get Uranium to Russia, Biden was in charge of laundering the "transfer fees", and in exchange to transporting the Uranium to Iran, Russia got Chrimea - part of the deal or not that was part of their cut because Obama wasn't going to scrub the hustle for such a small thing.

Help me out here, or do I need to purchase futures in aluminum?

#7  It's not our business. The fact it will have repercussions that we will feel here does not change that.

#6  Screw Clapper. Besides, "more aggressive" after Crimea? Uh, like that's any of our business?

Seems to be the mission statement of liberal diplomacy.

#3  This man should be in Leavenworth for 20 years for illegal domestic spying. But he's not, because there's one set of rules for them and another for us.
