Asayish arrest 3 drug dealers in Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On charges of drug trafficking and possession of unlicensed weapons, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) arrested three people in Raqqa, north Syria, on Wednesday.

“After collecting information and evidence, the Asayish arrested three drug dealers who also had unlicensed weapons in the city of Raqqa,” Asayish said on its official website.

“The accused were caught with 43 grams of the narcotic substance (H-Pose), in addition to a 9 mm caliber military pistol,” the website said.

“The accused confessed to drug trafficking and possession of unlicensed weapons. They were referred to the Public Prosecution to take legal measures against them,” according to the Asayish website.

In a statistic of the Internal Security Forces for 2021, 933 cases of drug control were recorded, and 1,562 people, including dealers and abusers, were arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution.
