#2 I would think a Barrett lower would not work well after being submerged in water, mud and sand. There are much better ways to hide/store underground. |

#1 Some bad actors storing assets for future usage perhaps? Keeping the large and heavy pieces well away from prying eyes. The canals don't have a strong current so these would pretty much stay where placed. The barrels would be much easier to keep hidden. |
