| Violence continues in Daraa |

Unidentified individuals burned the municipality building, yesterday evening, in Sayda town in the eastern countryside of Daraa, south Syria. All the building contents had burned including documents and papers, local source to North Press. There was major security alert in the building site by the security branches of the Syrian government in search for the perpetrators, the source added. The municipality building located near a checkpoint of the government’s Air Intelligence branch that spread in the town after settlement deal in 2018, the source noted. The eastern countryside of Daraa witnesses frequent targeting operations against the military checkpoints of Syrian government forces. Few days ago, one of the Syrian government forces’ checkpoints near al-Maliha al-Gharbiya town in Daraa countryside was targeted by unknown persons. In response, the Syrian government forces located in Brigade 52 shelled the civilians’ houses in al-Harak town resulting in the injury of some people. |
