US says something delphic about Nord Stream 2 |
2022-01-27 |
WASHINGTON, Jan 26 (Reuters) - U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price said on Wednesday the Nord Stream 2 pipeline between Russia and Germany will not move forward if Russia invades Ukraine. "I want to be very clear: if Russia invades Ukraine one way or another, Nord Stream 2 will not move forward," Price told NPR. "I'm not going to get into the specifics. We will work with Germany to ensure it does not move forward." How is this clear if we don't know the specifics? For that matter what does 'go forward' mean since I thought all the construction was done and the pipeline was being pressurized. |

#3 How much gas did Nordstream 2 supply last winter? Its function is to bypass Ukrainian pepelines and its transit fees. US natural gas price is $4.42/MMBtu at the Henry Hub Louisiana (price was about $2.00 in 2020). (Say thank you to Biden and this commie puppeteers. EU gas price is €92.10($103.90)/MWhr. It takes 3.41MMBtus to equal 1MWhr, so US gas is $15.07 vs $103.90 in Europe. The US should be supplying much of Europe's gas needs, cratering the price and still making a windfall profit. |

#2 America was ready and willing to supply Europe with all the gas they needed. We have so much it gets burned off as a waste product in our oilfields. Europe has tons of money from the massive trade surpluses they run with us and could easily afford it. Instead, they told us to go fuck ourselves and got in bed with Russia. Can someone tell me why we're still allied with them? Europeans are adversaries, plain and simple. |
