Famed Tuskeegee Airman Charles McGee passes away
2022-01-17
[NPR] Charles McGee, a Tuskegee Airman who flew 409 fighter combat missions over three wars, has died. He was 102.

Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III on Sunday announced his death on Twitter, both of them calling McGee an American hero.

"While I am saddened by his loss, I'm also incredibly grateful for his sacrifice, his legacy, and his character. Rest in peace, General," wrote Austin, who did not specify where McGee died.

The Tuskegee Airmen is the nickname of the first African American unit to fly combat airplanes in World War II.

A true heroes.
He and the Tuskegee Airman earned their respect 100 fold over.

All despite the numerous social, racial and other challenges dumped on him and the 300+ other Tuskegee Airman members in life.

They did not use Skin color as an excuse. They rose above the stupid issues of the time and still fought to defend the safety and honor of ALL Americans.

They really stuck it out there.

I have to wonder, what they would have done if they met a modern day BLM Leader.

Thank-you sirs and Tuskegee Airman for your heroic services.
