2022-01-16
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • New York let its eviction and foreclosure moratorium expire on Saturday

  • Those in the city will have to now apply for eviction protection and rent relief

  • Tenants' rights advocates rallied on the steps of the New York Public Library demanding another extension to the eviction moratorium until the end of June

  • Some protestors were arrested at Saturday's event, but the vast majority remained peaceful

  • Housing courts will consider cases filed by tenants and the Legal Aid Society starting on Tuesday

#2  No doubt there are those who would make the moratorium permanent. But that'll never pass -- too may Democrat slumlords.
