#10 Anything to avoid building manufacturing sources here. Capital investment to sustain the Chinese economy because they are bought and paid for by the CCP. Utterly corrupt and nothing will be done by the board of directors or senior management. |

#9 A lot of the containerships won't fit through Panama. Amazon is taking the initiative to build their own special long containers and send them through Panama on ships fitted with their own cranes for unloading. All that's needed is a chassis to show up next to the ship and will get loaded with a container in a couple of minutes. |

#8 They're piled up everywhere. Ship tracker: https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-120.6/centery:37.2/zoom:8 The worker shortage created a backlog in the system, and Cali's new rules screwed them up further. Ocean shipping is rerouting itself, with Home Depot's chartered ships coming into Houston, New Orleans and Charleston via Panama. Bear in mind, meat and produce, TP and dairy shortages are from OTR trucker shortages. |

#6 So basically the Calif Liberal Socialist Democrats are the cause of the shortages on the West coast and Northern Western USA. But still we have Panama Canal routed ships at numbers greater than the previous 2 years slipping thru in to the Gulf. We have Mexico NAFTA ports that easily handle the Calif issues? |

#5 The bays near the ports of Long Beach CA and Oakland look like parking lots now |

#4 ^ True. Under CAs rules on emissions, nearly half of available trucks are barred from ports, IIUC. ...and that's on top of trucker shortage. |

#3 My OTR Trucker friend tells me that California is the most 'Semi-unfriendly' state that they transport to and from, so I wouldn't be surprised TW. |

#2 Looking at the bigger picture, since I 1st posted this site back in late Nov'ish 2021?? We are now seeing a 10x's the ships headed to various US & Central America ports. Thus bypassing the Calif. Bottle neck. Eg. US Gulf of Mex & US Eastern US ports. So where's the stuff? |

#1 So the docks are where BLM must go next. With bolt cutters. |
