#23  #8 [Kazakhstan is the] world's largest producer of uranium

Our kakocratic elites have made bank in Kazakhstan for years.

Hillary Clinton and her husband are also intimately acquainted with Kazakhstan and its minerals-based commercial opportunities.

"In January 2013, the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom, [took] over a Canadian company with uranium-mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West. The deal made Rosatom one of the world’s largest uranium producers and brought Mr. Putin closer to his goal of controlling much of the global uranium supply chain.

"...[Tony Giustra and other ] major donors to the charitable endeavors of former President Bill Clinton and his family... built, financed and eventually sold off to the Russians a company that would become known as Uranium One. Beyond mines in Kazakhstan that are among the most lucrative in the world, the sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States.

"Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee [ including ] the State Department, then headed by Hillary Clinton.

"...Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors.

"And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.

#22  Joe and Hunter Biden know Kazakhstan intimately.

Hunter Biden also had business dealings in Kazakhstan

"Between 2012 and 2014 — when his father Joe Biden served as Vice President — Hunter Biden worked as a go-between to Kenes Rakishev, a Kazakh oligarch with close ties to the country’s longtime kleptocratic leader Nursultan Nazarbayev, The Daily Mail reported.

"The British tabloid said they obtained emails from “anti-corruption campaigners” in Kazakhstan showing Hunter making contact with Rakishev and attempting to facilitate investment for his cash in New York, Washington DC and a Nevada mining company.

"Through his connections, emails show Hunter Biden successfully engineered a $1 million investment from Rakishev to filmmaker Alexandra Forbes Kerry — the daughter of John Kerry, the report said. ..."

#21  Nice timing / warning ahead of the discussions re the Ukrainian situation next week. 99% likely the Americans will reject the Russian proposition. Apparently they believe there is more room for negotiation before push comes to shove.

If u think Kazakhstan is none of your business, think again. China needs it to run its nuclear & coal power plants (think that to end!);

Erdogan may try to reunite “Stans” - Kazakhstan; Turkmenistan; Tajikistan; Azerbaijan. VVP knows that. Biden better get history book out.

#17  Baikonur launch complex is waaay out in the boondocks, unlikely to be reached by urban protestors/rioters. Could get interesting if a new Kazakh government tries to force renegotiation of the Russian lease terms, though.

#16  #14 Putin invading to "restore order"?

Ironically, the US has post-9/11 had at least as much military presence in the 'stans as Russia .

From the official House Organ of the Magoo Administration, published in April and "updated" in Sept., the brass was looking to relocate troops to Kazakhstan among other Central Asian countries.:

WASHINGTON — American troops are set to leave Afghanistan no later than Sept. 11, but the Pentagon, American spy agencies and Western allies are refining plans to deploy a less visible but still potent force in the region to prevent the country from again becoming a terrorist base.

Drawing on the hard lessons from President Barack Obama’s decision a decade ago to withdraw American troops from Iraq — allowing the rise of the Islamic State three years later — the Pentagon is discussing with allies where to reposition forces, possibly to neighboring Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, according to United States officials.

Exactly as Putin requested from Yanukovich (unsuccessful) and from Lukashenka (successful) to hit harsh: Putin will request from Nazarbayev to unleash all the violence on the protestors. But in KAZ there is also China as a huge player. They will also try to overtake KAZ. Terrible
