#3  I think Musk has always talked out of both sides of his mouth, doing the machine's bidding when it could make him a multi-tens-of-billions-aire... and then turning around and wanting a libertarian lifestyle with his money, building rocketships to Mars and his own internet.

Neither of which the machine wants to exist, any more than they want the drilling rigs he wants to use to fuel his rockets to exist.

#2  I've always had the feeling that just as it was shown cell phone tower signals could be used to detect F-117s in flight, the StarLink sats have "off-label" capabilities that probably bug China and Russia.
