Wheel of Misfurtune - Young Jock or Yung Joc? You decide
2021-12-21
[Yahoo] The worlds of rapper Yung Joc and Wheel of Fortune collided on Monday, when WoF contestant Kennise Miller - with nearly $30,000 in prize money and a trip to Maui already in her pocket - faced a Bonus Round puzzle under the category of "person."

With only two of the nine letters showing on the board, even an impressive player like Kennise couldn’t come up with a single guess for the answer, which was "Young Jock."

But that’s when things exploded on Twitter, with many viewers assuming that the show meant for the puzzle to be the name of popular rapper Yung Joc, best known for his 2006 hit single "It's Goin' Down." With some blaming the show’s research department, and saying that Kennise deserves another shot.

#4  I hope you are right Rob. About the only thing worth watching these days.

#3  And regardless of the breathless commentary from the fanbois (and fangirlz) I'd imagine the standard contract all contestants sign is an agreement to accept the results the producers decree in these sorts of "situations."

#2  The "person" category often includes generic descriptions, like "fireman", so the properly spelled English words are likely.

#1  Forgot to turn off 'Spell Check ?'

A total cockup as further attempt at WOKE goes very badly....or so it would appear.

Wheel will likely soon be "Goin Down" with the contestant Miller receiving a huge, undisclosed settlement.
