#2 Is it really a 'precedent?' I thought parents were responsible for what their kids did - like not preventing kids' alcohol use at their parties. And from the evidence presented in the article there were plenty of warning signs of which the parents were aware. (So were or should have been the authorities.) This looks like a typically preventable tragedy. |

#1 So I guess if judges can make up their own laws (Fruit of the Poisoned Tree, etc), it would be unreasonable to prevent prosecutors from doing the same. |
