New Delhi’s New Edge in the China-India Competition for Middle East Connectivity
2021-12-10
[MANARA Magazine]
Pick up a cup of coffee. Get comfortable and sit down for a big Geo-economic and Geo-political read. Both China and India want alternate access to the Med. China wants a route with no Russian or NATO territory in it. It's desired Med Port is Tripoli Lebanon. India and the Suni Arabs want Haifa for their Med Port.

#6  Thank you for explaining, Dron. I seem to recall that you were the one who originally told us about VP Harris’s Indian supporters, but clearly I overweighted that information.

#5  Left side here is actually a little better educated, TW. Our real left are the university academics and writers mostly, trying to demand the socialist constitution perform as prescribed. The anarcho-marxists with the open mouths and waving fists seldom make it through college, ending up as riff raff standing in crowds. Fodder for the batons and boots, their support means nothing.

The hindu brahmins of south India did feel some affinity with the Gopalan sisters, but it goes only so far as to 'oh looky, the lass made it to the WH!' She did receive funding and moral support from some rich fools from that community, but she has no real supporters. I'll venture they are all ashamed of her even.

Indians are rather crafty people you see, keeping open a channel of communal linkage in case she becomes POTUS (!) but otherwise silently wishing orange man comes back. Indians will say one thing just to hedge their bets but invest in entirely another. It's because they have been dealing with the most corrupt menagerie of bastitches since independence, the Indian political class. Kamala Harris is nothing compared to it.

#4  I distrust political media chatter. India is a vast nation. Their history destroyed by the English occupation is now being reborn. Nationalism and pride is exploding. Traditions will stay strong here for many years to come. Social standings as well.

#3  ^ I have never heard that as yet. Those I talk to from India have not indicated that sentiment here. I will surely ask being the curious George that I am.

#1  I consider India to be vital to our countries interests. I also see more compatibility between us and Russia than I do with China. I would prefer a union between us Russia, India, Israel, Japan and South Korea. Vietnam is Pro USA and perhaps others would be considered to be mutually beneficial.
