There's a heroin shortage now that the CIA isn't in charge of opium production in Afghanistan any more? What a weird coincidence. | |

[HexBear] ![]() It's a mystery. I guess we'll never know.

#17 The need won’t be nearly so great once The Great Covid Vaccination Drive is over. |

#16 ...a shortage of up to 2 billion vaccine syringes by 2022 Almost certainly disposable syringes from a single supplier nation: China. Having a single source means your supply chain is a disaster waiting to happen. |

#15 "The world could face a shortage of up to 2 billion vaccine syringes by 2022, said WHO expert Lisa Hedman. A massive syringe shortage could delay children's vaccines against common illnesses. The world is administering 6.8 billion vaccine doses per year, while 6 billion syringes are manufactured annually." The end is near. |

#14 And Brandon conveniently leaves the border wide open for them to smuggle it into the country. |

#12 So China just steps up fentanyl production... |

#11 Ref #9: I wager that in 6 months or so we will be told that "There is a vast surge in Heroin production and 'We Must Intervene!' " So-called "Human Rights" violations will likely bring about intervention. The surge in Heroin production will not impact the Mexican cartel's bottom line. Our urban entrepreneurs enjoy long-term contracts along with US Gov't import and marketing assurances. |

#10 So THAT's where Kackala and Newsome disappeared to. Hoovering up all the horse. |

#9 Bah, Humbug! How can the CIA be a vast shadowy force of evil *and* in the next breath a totally incompetent clown show...? (on second thought there is the US State Department) Occam's Razor: The Taliban shot most of the local middle-men (because they were competitors) and the logistics train is in chaos. I wager that in 6 months or so we will be told that "There is a vast surge in Heroin production and 'We Must Intervene!' " |

#7 Opium production resumed after 2002, when the CIA explicitly allowed it. |

#6 Or (to take the NYT and other propagandists for the commies explaining inflation) there are just too many consumers not shortages. |

#5 It was the Taliban only source of income. How can you sustain 'Endless Wars' without a well funded enemy ? Side note: Guess who told the Army to 'back off' of poppy eradication in the AFG ? |

#4 Think you are correct TW. And as I recall white powder addiction in Pakistan went way up around 2,000? |

#3 As I recall, after the Taliban put an end to opium production in the 1990s, they restarted it because they needed the money it generated. |

#2 How much did the resurgent heroin problem cost the us and the world? |
Posted by: Penguin of the Desert 2021-11-10 00:28 |
#1 The Taliban put an end to opium production in the 90s when they were in charge. First thing CIA did when they took over the country was restart it. |
