Korea was a delaying action while Europe was being reinforced as fast as they could. The fact that the cabal of traitors had passed the atomic bomb info on to the Soviets who subsequently detonated one, took that card out of the deck for the time being.

Besides MacArthur had been warned about the intervention by the Chinese, they even carried out an attack prior to the full blown counter attack as a demonstration they meant business. MacArthur ignored it and created situation for the debacle that followed.

#10  i recall that in the 50's McArthur was askewd what we should do when the chinese army attacked across the yalu river. Bomb Peking was his answer. sigh.
