#2 There are some who would mock the City of Portland as a bunch of dumbasses doing dumbass things. I, however, salute them for being brave enough to create their vision of the future. Let's make no mistake, they are doing dumb stuff. But the freedom to find a better path is also the freedom to make mistakes. And these guys are making some doozies! Still, that is not a bad thing, at least if you don't live in Portland. They are providing useful datapoints so the next time someone suggests eliminating the police or encouraging the homeless to poop in the streets, we can point and laugh and say "Yeah, like Portland!" |
